Vespers is a complete novel with no cliffhanger. It can be enjoyed as a standalone or read as the first book in the Hours of the Night series.

My Review: I received a free copy from the author in exchange for an honest review. I have to admit to saying yes to Liv only because the blurb was so interesting. Though I wasn't sure if I would enjoy it with the religious overtones, especially as I rarely read anything with religion in it. It was a good decision as it turned out because the religion had a major part in the story but it wasn't a preachy type of story. Instead it was a great vampire versus demon action romance. There were so many bits in this story that I wanted to add, but each one ended up with spoilers or didn't do the book justice. In fact I enjoyed the story so much that it has taken me almost 24 hours to get around to writing a review that doesn't give away any spoilers. After four attempts I'm going to leave this as is and just tell you go to your favourite book store on 13th September and buy the book and find out for yourself.
